because all I think about is breast feeding nowadays...
I'm a bit slow on the uptake. But it looks like some of our beloved Domino peeps have started a new shelter mag.

I hope this makes you all as happy as it does me. I REALLY needed this.

Tears. Of. Joy.
Oh, and while you're at it, check out her blog.
Go indulge yourself!
fireplace inspiration
A friend of mine recently asked me what I thought she should do with her large cavernous fireplace she has in the middle of her living room. Its a beautiful fireplace, and did I mention HUGE? I love using fireplaces for other things than just "fires" particularly in the off seasons. The idea of storage strikes my fancy, or my particular fave, art galleries. A whimsicle display for favorite paintings, maybe some drift wood, and candles.
I think of them as secondary opportunities to display beautiful things. I had a plethora of images from Domino, and then I LOANED THEM OUT never to hear from them again, so here are a few I snagged off the web. Check out these inspirational photos!

spring beauties, domino rediscovered, etsy treasures

The black clouds rolled in today, when I realized that Dominomag.com has shut down forever.
FOREVER. (Say it like sandlot.)
Dismal and utter distress are the clues of what could be uttered from my lips in short gasps of panicked air when I the sheer disappointment of it all closed in on me-one final nail in the coffin for me and my designer love affair with the mag.
I feel as though I have lost a friend. BUT...LUCKILY, others have felt the same. ENTER the Domino Flicker group! God bless the archivers of delicious visions of fun decor for all!
HALLELUIAH!
Isn't she a beaut?

Onto the second thing on my list: spring feva! I am in love with this chair, and this fun vase with floral excellence is just one more thing that makes me happy! Source: ABT

I am redoing all the pillows in our living room with some fun fabrics. It was time to change the drab. If you are looking for an excellent fabric source, just click fabric worm to the left, or here on her etsy shop.

I have a love affair with ceramic makers on etsy. Here are a few finds: This one was recently featured in an interview on the front page. I LOVE what she had to say. I think all us mommy/artists out there can relate.
"i am a wife and mom of two..thea 10 and loch 6. the two sides of my existence, motherhood and design, make for a very balanced and happy life. it also gets a bit hairy sometimes..trying to fit it all in to one day and i run around like a chicken with it's head cut off a lot of the time..but i would have to say i am one pretty happy headless chicken." - Jill Rosenwald

Here is another ceramist. Love her stuff. What can I say? Mugs make me happy...
Hope you all have an inspired weekend!
