subway tile...mmmmmm.
If I had an old house...{SIGH.} I would tackle the bathrooms...do 'em up in some subway tile... I'm no interior designer, but I know what I like, and I think this material is surprisingly affordable. On a side tangent:I just want some of these glass doors for my shower NOW. I don't know why the design morons for cheap stuff they put in new houses find it necessary to plate them with metal. Hi. My name is metal. I collect crap. And Yours truly refuses to scrub on her hands and knees at nearly 8.25 mos prego. (Yeah...I just used a precise number...)
Renovations seem like a fabulously fun idea... If its with someone elses money. In someone elses home. I'm not sure I would survive the demolition process...living in it... But the idea of one big real to life half painted canvas of an art project sure sounds like a blast.
In the meantime, these photos sure are purdy!

I am in love with Subway tile too. I have been thinking that is what Im going to do for the backsplash whenever we get to remodel out kitchen!
Ok I didn't know what subway tile was until I read this post. :-) I would LOVE to have a luxury bathroom. Giant shower. Multiple shower heads. Glass doors, like you described. Room for an upholstered chair. Ahhhh...oh, and someone to clean it all for me!
I am currently trying to talk my husband into putting subway tile in our horrendous bathroom.
My mom just redid her bathrooms like this and I LOVE it, if only I could talk Mark into redoing our bathrooms.
