spring beauties, domino rediscovered, etsy treasures

The black clouds rolled in today, when I realized that Dominomag.com has shut down forever.

FOREVER. (Say it like sandlot.)

Dismal and utter distress are the clues of what could be uttered from my lips in short gasps of panicked air when I the sheer disappointment of it all closed in on me-one final nail in the coffin for me and my designer love affair with the mag.

I feel as though I have lost a friend. BUT...LUCKILY, others have felt the same. ENTER the Domino Flicker group! God bless the archivers of delicious visions of fun decor for all!

HALLELUIAH!

Isn't she a beaut?

Onto the second thing on my list: spring feva! I am in love with this chair, and this fun vase with floral excellence is just one more thing that makes me happy! Source: ABT

I am redoing all the pillows in our living room with some fun fabrics. It was time to change the drab. If you are looking for an excellent fabric source, just click fabric worm to the left, or here on her etsy shop.

I have a love affair with ceramic makers on etsy. Here are a few finds: This one was recently featured in an interview on the front page. I LOVE what she had to say. I think all us mommy/artists out there can relate.

"i am a wife and mom of two..thea 10 and loch 6. the two sides of my existence, motherhood and design, make for a very balanced and happy life. it also gets a bit hairy sometimes..trying to fit it all in to one day and i run around like a chicken with it's head cut off a lot of the time..but i would have to say i am one pretty happy headless chicken." - Jill Rosenwald

Here is another ceramist. Love her stuff. What can I say? Mugs make me happy...

Hope you all have an inspired weekend!

{sig} Goodbye Domino. Ashley, I do have you to thank for introducing me to the fabulous mag. I will be asking for the book for my birthday, that's for sure!

I love how you change your pillows. Maybe one day I can do that too. It makes the whole room feel different!

BTW...I need a new decorating magazine! Let me know if you discover one. {I felt like this post was an appropriate place to leave this comment, as it just popped in my head.}
