because all I think about is breast feeding nowadays...

I'm a bit slow on the uptake. But it looks like some of our beloved Domino peeps have started a new shelter mag.

I hope this makes you all as happy as it does me. I REALLY needed this.

Introducing Lonny.

Tears. Of. Joy.

Oh, and while you're at it, check out her blog.

Go indulge yourself!

they've gone belgium

Anyone checked out the new line at Restoration hardware? They've gone Belgium on all of us.

And I'm not talking about waffles.

I love it all. But it's like a secret love affair with something I can't afford...nor would I really purchase it even if I could afford it...or save up the moolah to make it happen...

I kind of think things have lots more charm when they're handmade, or salvaged purely by you, and not mass produced. Even though they say these things are limited quantity to justify the price tag, coffee tables like these have been around for a while. I think they were even more expensive due to the to the trade stuff before RH picked them up.

I'm adding this to my list of projects, and it will be going somewhere near the bottom...but I am in LOVE with this coffee table. I first spotted one like it in the movie Baby Mama. Yes, I pay attention to design when I watch movies. And I love the industrial look.

So, I think I know a welder. Basic angles. Can't be that hard to make. Too bad sparks and fire and hot metal scare me or you just might catch me in the garage making pieces of my own with one of those sexy masks.

And in the not so near future, this coffee table would look INCREDIBLE in my living room...

Again, I'm not so sure it would happen in THIS house, since we DO have a coffee table, but this one does make me swoon. So, I'm storing this idea away...

to be continued!!!

*I'm trying something different with this site...every time I have a new post, I'm switching up the order of the pages so people will know it's there...that, and you can now easily access projects by clicking on links to the left.

So click around. It won't kill you. ;)

framing blue prints and old letters...

I love this month's Southern Living. They've really revamped some of their jazz. I don't subscribe, but my mom does, and whenever I'm over at their place, I always pick hers up and leaf through. This months issue features a bungalow decorated by some dude named George, and I love his style.

I will find pics of this, I PROMISE. (cross my heart) but this dude totally framed old blue prints and letters around his home. My grandfather was a builder. Super cool if I can get my hands on some of his old blue prints. I've already ordered/begged my mom to start digging through the piles of things she inherited from my Grandmother! I think this is quite possibly the coolest idea ever. This guy also blew up some old envelopes and framed them super large...old envelopes dating back to 1917. LOVE. Check this month's out if you can get a chance. I always thought I would officially be a mom if I subscribed to Southern Living. I may have to cave...

These sawhorse legs are an instant winner. More affordability from Urban Outfitters. Got an old door? Instant desk. What? You don't have an old door? Who doesn't have one of those lying around...okay you get my point. I'm so hilarious. It's 12 in the a.m. and I should be in bed....love the color.

still fixated on...

enclosed porches. We'll see if such a thing can happen on a budget for us in the tropics.
