I won't be sewing for a while. Special thanks to Jamin for entertaining the kiddies because this would have taken FIVE MORE DAYS to complete had he not helped out so I could be negligent. This project took some major blood (if I pricked me finger ONE more time) sweat, and contractions: whoever said this was an easy project must conjure up wedding dresses for a living because each and every step had me a bit baffled.
I need specifics with color coded diagrams. I guess you could say the gumdrop pillow left me with a severe case of overconfidence. Now that I've completed it, I will gladly do it again, but I totally see why these babies go for 85 on etsy. If I sold one, they would go for 250. TIME CONSUMING is my point. I had no clue what gussets were, and was left a bit confused with nothing more than a line drawing of a complicated proceedure. (read: what is childbirth when I just made this bag? Bring it.)
If you plan on making this bag, I highly recommend this site: fabulous photography that clarifies the vague. I also added a decorative button on the front, and a magnetic snap on the inside, since I'm clever like that. (read: I stole the idea from somewhere else) It's doeable, just not when I'm 37 wks pregs, and bending over constantly happens to be a real pain with contractions...otherwise, VIOLA! I have a bag and I'm really PROUD!!! Let's go to the hospital!
