random shots

I was waiting to nab the kids a quickie meal at Burger King in the drive thru on Monday, when i took note of the van behind me. It was just humorous that the side said Eat Smart, Eat Fresh... and here we are waiting for a mouth watering piece of overly processed greasy meat...Guess I'm easily humored.

I'll be posting more "documentation pics" of this soon, but a dear college friend Jesse came to stay with me this past weekend. She was awesome to keep me company while Jamin was gone. We did what any true Auburnites would do, and took off to the loveliest village on the plains. Only we forgot our cameras so we nabbed shots via our phones the entire time we were there. This is one of the classic girly stops of Auburn: Behind the Glass. Inside is one of my most coveted objects on the entire face of the earth...forget diamonds. One day I shall have a VERY large studio and inside will be a version of the sign which inspired the name of my company: Pure Innovation {Refuel with Fresh design}...Thanks Jamin.

Ahhh the genuine nostalgia of it all. I have a true weakness for old rusty signs and cars...A real look at retro americana revisited. This just really makes me happy.

If you ever see one on the side of the road, feel free to stop and grab it for me. That would be oh so nice of you...

Had I the money, I would snatch this up for you just for the sheer joy and entertainment (not to mention names and craft ideas) that this blog has brought me.

awwww kate. ;) just keep your eyes open any time you're going down an abandoned road, and if someone wants to sell it for you for under a hundred, consider yourself paid back via me because I would JUMP ON IT. Anything over for a rusty old sign (I know they totally cost more) and Jamin would kill over...
