its time...
1. So... here is the latest shot of little M. I scored another ultrasound last week. I had a little scare I won't get into too much on here, but I am measuring 27 weeks and am at 34. There was a slight cause for alarm, and though I "look normal" in person, (read: HEFFER) I am measuring small. My first inkling was not to worry, I did that with Emerson, but the doc said I was a good bit behind. As it turns out, blessings continue to be lavished upon us, as baby mills 3 is measuring right on schedule and in the fiftieth percentile with every other growing baby at his/her stage in the world. For the FIRST TIME (I am shamefully admitting) in my pregnancy, I can honestly say this strangely familiar emotion of immense thankfulness and actual excitement at the idea of having another newborn came over me after I was finished crying on the ultrasound table. (yes, I am hormonal and yes that is totally dramatic.) Thankfully God is working on my heart, and getting me ready to take care of a third...cause let's face it-it IS the hardest job EVER and I am TOTALLY terrified!!! Enough ranting...Here's the latest shot. We are nearing the end and are actually getting excited. Let's just hope Jamin makes it. ;)
2. I cannot share the third without sharing my second because you will see it in the pictures...(I have to do things in odd numbers, unless they are symmetrical-I'm totally OCD) We have somewhat chosen names for the baby. Let's just leave it at this...Malone will be the name of choice for either/or when it comes to babe no.3. Middle name. Yes the baby will be tortured for the rest of its life when the teacher calls out the first name first in the fifth grade, and yes, I am sharing this because I no longer care if people think it goes better with a boy or a girl-I got REALLY tired of hearing that one. Noneyabidnass. (read: unless positive, keep opinions to yourselves, please & thank you.) (Malone is my maiden name) Jamin isn't set, but he never is until d-day. Benjamin Malone if its a boy (family name) Isabella Malone if its a girl.
Yes, both of those others are popular, and yes, we went that route to balance out Malone with strong female/male common pairings. Good story. It's not Apple. We're cool.
3. Which leads me to...and I'm oh so excited...
We found this at a flea market a few months ago. A true POC (piece of crap). It ended up here...
Click here to view. I also included some images of Emmy and Aiden's rooms, just because some people have been asking and my old blog is no longer available. No I don't think anyone cares, but here ya go anyway. You should pretend and humor me...Do us all a favor and put it in lightbox mode by clicking twice until it takes you to the slideshow version. That way you get more than thumbnails.
This photo editing stuff took waaaay too long, so this will be the only blog from me this week. I'm pooped.
Love you all. Have a good week!
nursery sneak preview...
So I'll be honest, I have absolutely nothing interesting to write about, as I have been completely obsessed with putting nursery no. 3 together. Why does she care, you may ask? Well, for one, distracting myself with design is the number one therapeutic action keeping me from jumping off the deep end, or even thinking of dealing with three kiddies all screaming at once. And secondly, we will be in our house for a while. Might as well make it fabulous...
I've been pretty busy with some projects for others, and some things for my own shop. I just finished this painting for my nephew...
And I've gone bloomin' flower crazy. (yeah, I just wrote that.) These will be listed in my shop by sunday. I love making these things!
And now onto fun baby things...
I changed my original design idea on fabric for the nursery to more of a pastel/patchwork approach. I am still working with spoonflower to get my samples in to make sure all the colors flow, and my wonderful Mother in Law who is super creative and fun to work with not to mention wonderfully kind to do my bedding yet AGAIN.

The bedding should have this kind of effect when we are finished! It's so neat to think its my own fabric making up the bedding! So much fun...

We decided on a classic, simple, and cheap jenny lind crib for the nursery...found one for 125 at toys r us! Emmy still has the sleigh and we are not moving her out any time soon! (SHE HAS SLEPT FOR SEVEN NIGHTS IN HER OWN BED, BTW. PRAISE)
But when I DO move her into a big girl bed, I will probably go classic Jenny all the way. Can't get enough of those spindles...and if we have another girl...think twin jenny's! {Images via domino and cookie via Making it Lovely} I think the twins are from Land of Nod. LOVE LOVE LOVE...

I would love to share some of the wonderful finds I scored at Ikea when my mom, sis and I took a trip to that fabulous mecca in Atl, but for now this pic of the two rugs I nabbed will have to do, until I put it all together!
I sat in one of these chairs when I was pregs with Aiden, and regretted not getting one ever since. I found one for super cheap on Ebay, cheaper than I ever imagined. Brand new, picked my own finish and everything. After nursing a sleepless child, I consider such things now completely worth it. It's like being enveloped by a giant pillow...its kind of grown on me. We've gone the classic chair route and I'm in loooooove. They're called puff chairs if anyone is interested...You can even switch out the slipcover later on

I found these reconstructed lamps on etsy, and knew I would ABSOLUTELY DIE if I did not have them. I had a milk glass lamp in my room growing up and it kind of disappeared when my parents moved so many times. I love this funky take on an old classic. I will be making shades from my fabric to compliment...check out this store!

And last but not least...I've slowly but surely been collecting M's for the nursery. I purchased a 12" from this artist last week, and cannot wait to see it!

I'm going for the whole look of old meets new meets eclectic...should be fun! Jamin is taking all next week off so we can tackle those pieces of furniture we have purchased from our local flea market...can't wait to show before and after pics of those. It will be a while before all this comes together, so...Wish us luck!!!
