its time...
1. So... here is the latest shot of little M. I scored another ultrasound last week. I had a little scare I won't get into too much on here, but I am measuring 27 weeks and am at 34. There was a slight cause for alarm, and though I "look normal" in person, (read: HEFFER) I am measuring small. My first inkling was not to worry, I did that with Emerson, but the doc said I was a good bit behind. As it turns out, blessings continue to be lavished upon us, as baby mills 3 is measuring right on schedule and in the fiftieth percentile with every other growing baby at his/her stage in the world. For the FIRST TIME (I am shamefully admitting) in my pregnancy, I can honestly say this strangely familiar emotion of immense thankfulness and actual excitement at the idea of having another newborn came over me after I was finished crying on the ultrasound table. (yes, I am hormonal and yes that is totally dramatic.) Thankfully God is working on my heart, and getting me ready to take care of a third...cause let's face it-it IS the hardest job EVER and I am TOTALLY terrified!!! Enough ranting...Here's the latest shot. We are nearing the end and are actually getting excited. Let's just hope Jamin makes it. ;)
2. I cannot share the third without sharing my second because you will see it in the pictures...(I have to do things in odd numbers, unless they are symmetrical-I'm totally OCD) We have somewhat chosen names for the baby. Let's just leave it at this...Malone will be the name of choice for either/or when it comes to babe no.3. Middle name. Yes the baby will be tortured for the rest of its life when the teacher calls out the first name first in the fifth grade, and yes, I am sharing this because I no longer care if people think it goes better with a boy or a girl-I got REALLY tired of hearing that one. Noneyabidnass. (read: unless positive, keep opinions to yourselves, please & thank you.) (Malone is my maiden name) Jamin isn't set, but he never is until d-day. Benjamin Malone if its a boy (family name) Isabella Malone if its a girl.
Yes, both of those others are popular, and yes, we went that route to balance out Malone with strong female/male common pairings. Good story. It's not Apple. We're cool.
3. Which leads me to...and I'm oh so excited...
We found this at a flea market a few months ago. A true POC (piece of crap). It ended up here...
Click here to view. I also included some images of Emmy and Aiden's rooms, just because some people have been asking and my old blog is no longer available. No I don't think anyone cares, but here ya go anyway. You should pretend and humor me...Do us all a favor and put it in lightbox mode by clicking twice until it takes you to the slideshow version. That way you get more than thumbnails.
This photo editing stuff took waaaay too long, so this will be the only blog from me this week. I'm pooped.
Love you all. Have a good week!

I am glad that you are doing okay. I love the names that you have come up with for the baby. I love that you are using Malone in his/her name. Your nursery is precious. You can tell that you really put a lot of thought and time into preparing that room and it looks fabulous. I love the way that the piece of furniture turned out.
Everything looks fabulous! I love how the kids' rooms are all so very different, yet they blend well. Hope everything continues on okay with Malone's growth.
1) I love both of the names you have chosen!
2) I am T-totally obsessed with the nursery. It looks amazing! Thanks so much for sharing all the great pics. You really outdid yourself!

I love love love Malone's new room. I'm so thankful you are doing ok, and I'm praying for these last few weeks! Love you! (I'm at the beach this week, so I'll try to call during nap time one day! :))
I love EVERYTHING! The names, the rooms, the "all's A-okay with little M." It is all fabulous!
Who in the world has had a problem with the name MALONE?? How super cute is that either way??? Seriously, why do people feel the need to comment unless it's to say, "How adorable?" Which, by the way, I'm not just saying that. I love it! Cute. I'm sure the folks who have responded negatively have just great names too. NOT. Some people have no social skills. For real. Thanks for your comment on my most recent post. The reason I don't have hate mail like you is cause I don't get 200+ readers daily. You're so funny.
Name = LoVe it.
Nursery = Shut up!
Kids rooms = I will hire you do decorate my future babes' abode.
It's offical for the next gift giving occasion how about you just whip up one of these fab rooms for my poor neglected children! Clearly I need your help!!
I think you got all the talent in the family! Their rooms look amazing! Mom said your house could be in a magazine! I had no idea how fabulous it is! And, I love the name choices! Who cares what everyone thinks? Love it.
Can you please come to Birmingham and help me with cheap decor???? You did a great job! I love it!
Beautiful rooms and beautiful names! (Or handsome, I guess, if it turns out that way.) ;) Also, I think family names like that are fair game for boys or girls--good choices!
love the name(s)..so cute! seriously, i would hire you to do my kids' rooms. they are all gorgeous!
WOW........I just looked at all the pictures and then came to leave a comment. Then I see that all these people are talking about baby names and such, which I totally forgot was written about in this post because all I can think about was how awesome that nursery is. My mom told me, "You have to go look at Ashley's baby's room. Her and her mother-in-law did an amazing job. They are the bomb!" I just laughed at her because she said "the bomb," but she is right, the room is beautiful. I love the buffet, I think it's my favorite part.
Love the nursery! It is so sweet and adorable. Seems to be one of those rooms that just takes all your cares away! Great job! And I love that you are using Malone. It's a great name!!
Seriously your comments have been too kind-Ya'll are too sweet. I just assumed you were all making fun of me behind my back. "look at her, she thinks she can pick colors! hahahaa" Thanks for the name support, too peeps. Truly appreciated.
ashley, 3 things (since you mentioned it)~
1)LOVE the name. both of them.
2)LOVE the pix of the rooms. i'd ask you to come decorate my house top to bottom, but i'm sure you don't want me to pay you in fruit snacks, and other than that, i'm certain you're out of my price range b/c you are SO talented! seriously, its all gorgeous.
3)LOVE you guys. hope to see you soon (all 5 of you!). p.s. according to very reliable sources you have the cutest baby belly ever. ;)
Love it all!
Love both names...love them, love them! And I think using your maiden name is perfect. And seriously, your kids rooms, wow. Wow. I am absolutely amazed. Which magazines are coming to your house to do a photo spread? Because they ALL should! Beautiful!!!!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the names! I have always been secretly envious of those who can use their maiden name for their child's name. I guess it's not a secret anymore. My child would secretly plot to kill me during their teenage years. Also you did a great job on the nursery, I knew you would enjoy the decorating challenge!
Ok, you have outdone yourself with this nursery!!! I LOVE it!! Everything is perfect. I am truly impressed at how much work you've put into it. And of course you already know, I love the name Malone. And I love both Benjamin & Isabella, so all names get my two thumbs up. {not that you need my approval? :-)}
I am so totally envious of your skills. Please tell me that you had that bedding made. Because if you also pulled that off while in your state of pregnancy and with two little ones, I will constantly be questioning why so many mothers can pull so much more off in a day than I am able to.
I LOVE the names! Very classy. And what a great way to honor your parents! Besides, when you're the one that's going to be yelling it a hundred times a day, you should get to make the call of what you're going to yell.
I'm so glad that everything was okay! I will be anxiously awaiting to see if it is Benjamin Malone or Isabella Malone that sleeps through the night at six weeks in that amazing nursery. That is going to be my very specific prayer for you! Everyone deserves a break every now and then :).
