bigger and bigger.
Setting: Aiden, recently absconded from preschool, in the car with Daddy, on their way to meet Emerson and myself at the baby doc's office. We were trading off: Jamin takes the kids for an additional twenty while I get to speak to my OBGYN surrounded by a rare peace and serenity of quiet.
Side note: has anyone ever tried to "donate their samples" with their giant belly, into an oh-so-small cup whilst balancing a one year old, in a germ infested bathroom trying ever so carefully not to let her touch ANYTHING until her daddy arrives? Yeah. Kinda tricky. I'll say it again, they need FUNNELS. And seats you can strap your child into which fold out from the wall. Thanks, Dr. Mcdreamy, uh I mean Dupre.
Onto my point:
Convo: Aiden: Where is mommy? (I usually pick him up)
Jamin: We are going to the doctor's office to see Mommy and get Emmy. It's the new baby's doctor.
Aiden: (remember, he thinks he is also miraculously with child) The baby is getting bigger and bigger.
Jamin: Yes.
Aiden: It's so big, it really hurts. It hurts my feet really bad.
WHAT??? I haven't even complained THAT much! He really is taking the whole empathy thing a bit seriously...Sometimes that kid is too much.

Aiden is too funny!!! Thanks I needed a good laugh today. I hope the dr appt went well!!!
Evidently humor is genetic cause Aiden sure has his parents' sense of humor! I can't get enough of your posts about his crazy comments.
LOL - He is hilarious!! All of Claire's imaginary friends are having babies too and apparantly I am bigger than all of them =)!
I so get what you mean about the difficult bathroom situation at the doc's office. I DO NOT like public restrooms. Did you read my post about Jack touching the toilet seat at McDonald's? Yeah, I don't ever wanna go there again.
So funny. Kids at the doc are NO fun. One time Bert was supposed to meet me at a visit to get Lucy while I was preg. with Jack and he got mixed up on the time so she got to witness an "exam." She was only 17 months old, so I don't think she was scarred for life, but I was FURIOUS. They had to set her on the table by me so I could hang on to her, all while the doc was trying to tell me how much I was dilated. I'm still mad about that.... I think I should go remind Bert now. :-)
Ha Ha! Hope the visit went good and everything is going good with #3.
