Calling All Creatives

Read below for lipstick woes (I'm sure, only if you are dreadfully bored) but I am calling all (5) readers for your input. I think I know my main name for baby no. 3, but I need a good girly and a good boyey name to compliment it, whatever the sex is. I basically have to have two picked out, one of each, so when little gipper gets here, I'm prepared. Seriously. Names. Suggestions. Boy and Girl. Leave. Comments. Fresh out. Ideas. Need... please refrain, though I know it may be hard, from suggestions such as Lurleen and Darryl. Serious suggestions. Thank you.

That's all I have off the top of my head. Good luck with naming...it's so stressful!

I got these off this list. http://www.babycenter.com/top-baby-names-2008

I tried to stay away from the top 20 names.

Boys: Luke, Henry, Max, Cooper, Jake, Parker, Oliver, Grayson, Miles, Gavin

Girls: Mia/Maya, Layla, Avery, Taylor, Aubrey, Lillian, Kennedy, Molly, Evelyn

Can you tell I like to think about baby names. Also, if you pick one of my suggestions, dont get mad if in the future, I use it too. :)

I love Charlotte, Camille, Evelyn, and Ruby for girls.
I love Hudson, Grey, Graham, Henry, and Harrison for boys. These were on my short list before we settled on our names. =)

Evelyn was Jamin's grandmother's name. I also love Ruby, Layla, Charlotte, and Harrison. These are all names I've been thinking of, so no one think I stole them! ;) any others, I probably did. Just kidding.

I feel like I'm not allowed to have any names my blogging friends have. like it goes against the rules even if we don't move in the same circles. Doesn't bother me if someone uses mine, but I don't like to do it to other people. Like its sacred ground.

I've really gotten into these Bible names recently and want to have a child just so I can name him one of these (I'm assuming I'd have a boy apparently): Elijah (swoon), Gabriel, Jonah, and Noah. I love those names! And I would totally name a girl Scout even though Bruce Willis already took it. Oh yes, and Cullen for a boy (obvious source, but a very cute name nonetheless). While we're there, let's just throw in Renesmee. What?! Never name a child that, weirdest name ever.

I have a ton more stored up in my head, but those were the first that came to mind. I love thinking of baby names!

Well you already have the name I wanted for a boy for like 10 years. That is till I married a man who's last name rhymes with Aiden. The girl name I LOVE but Andrew doesn't is Darcy. Girls: Gwyneth, Ava, Kayla, Kaithlyn. Boys: Alexander, Aaron, Steven, William, Joshua, Nathan. Of course if we ver do have a girl those names are still on our list.

OK, one of my all-time fave boy names is Tyson. But my husband...not so much. (Bad experience with a Tyson, so he ruled it out.)
For a girl, I love Evelyn as well (or Evie). Cute.

Some of my favorites are:

Girl--Fiona, Sidney, Evey, and Maggie

Boy--Oliver, Hudson, Cooper and Fletcher

I just read through the other comments and realized that some of these are repeats. Sorry about that. Good luck!

Well, if I can't use Darryl and Lurleene, then I'm in trouble...

These are names I like of some of my students:

Boy: Brooks, Owen, Davis, Parker

Girl: Dailey (LOVE that one), Hunter, Nina, Lucy

Good luck with all this! Names are so hard!

Something will eventually pop out at you. Don't worry about using someone else's names though... It's not like they OWN the name!

I know you arent going to like this BUT I really like Malone for a girl's name!! A couple weeks ago I met a family and their oldest daughter's name was McKenna...I thought that was a great name. I like Harrison for a boy. Yes all very different, but dont you remember all the Lindsey's and Emily's we went to school with, since there was so many they had to be called by their last name or nick names (not that that was a bad thing...just saying). :)

Isabella - use it you know you want to!

02.6.2009 | Unregistered CommenterJillina

btw don't you have some news to post?

02.6.2009 | Unregistered CommenterJillina

I love the name Zoe for a girl. {It's too close to rhyming with Goins so we can't use it. Zoe Goins. No.} Oh except that your dog's name is Chloe...not sure if you'd be against that or not.

That's the only one I can think of right now that I've considered & then nixed...and I am having a hard time thinking of boys's names so I don't have any suggestions.

{I also like Malone though! Boy or girl.}

Jillina-its on the link to the left, and in my other pages to the left. you know. the one no one else reads because they don't want to do an extra click. My site feels discriminated against. ;)

Fiametta, Kai

Someday I hope to have kids...or a wife...

02.8.2009 | Unregistered Commenterscott

I'n not a fan of the name Ruby... just sounds like an old lady to me. It sounds just like Mabel to my ears. My mom's middle name is Evelyn, so we will most likely be using it... just so you don't think I stole it from you! I like Lyla better than Layla. I know I'm being random here, but I'm just scanning...

I'm thinking that with a first name that could be either a boy or a girl, the middle name should be unmistakably male or female. So I nix all names not just dripped with testosterone or estrogen.

Thanks people! I still don't have any idea-but perhaps this will be a good name bank for you to use as future reference. ;) as a side note, I have definitely decided I am NOT sharing the name until said child is born. I told someone today and got a rude response. I mean, if I tell you, that is not an open invitation for you to give me negative feedback. Seriously...I have got to not care what people think but it hurts my feelings when people are so opinionated about what I name MY child!!! I feel better now.

02.8.2009 | Unregistered Commentersupa

Im so sorry that there seems to be so many rude people out there! Just remember, its your name, your child, your decision. Who cares what other people think!

02.8.2009 | Unregistered CommenterAbbie

Well, you told me the name (yay, I feel special!) and I LOVE it!!!

02.8.2009 | Unregistered CommenterHannah

Well, I like really different names, and tend to get an eye-roll or a scoff when I say which ones I like, so I'm going to refrain from sharing at this moment... but good luck deciding!

02.8.2009 | Unregistered CommenterPaige

Yeah I just told a co-worker one of Baron's ideas for a boy name, and she goes "ew, I don't like that." Well I didn't ask for your opinion, you asked me what we were thinking of!!!! Grrrrr. Anyway I think you should use the name you like, regardless of what other people think. Except for me cause my opinion matters. J/K. :-)

02.9.2009 | Unregistered CommenterLaura

Hey, you removed the word verification thingie! Yay!

02.9.2009 | Unregistered CommenterLaura

Feel free to use any of the names I mentioned, I have my current planned, and GOD HELP US he or she is the last!!

02.9.2009 | Unregistered CommenterRachel

Okay, I love family names, so whomever suggested Malone, that's awesome, boy or girl.
