Aiden: {matter of factly} I have a baby in my tummy.
Me: {highly amused} Oh?
Aiden: Yes. It's a boy baby.
Me: Oh. How neat. Are you sure its a boy?
Aiden: Yes. Mine is a boy and yours is a girl. And it's getting bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger. {Lifting up shirt and pointing to his belly} It's right here.
Me: Wow, Aiden.
Aiden: And he has a blanket and a lovie and his doggy {these are all of Aiden's night time essentials} and a bed, and that's all.
Me: {stifling laughter} That's a lot of stuff for your belly.
Aiden: Yes. So baby can sleep. It keeps him warm.
Me: {now highly curious at Aiden's theory} How do you think your baby will get out when he is big enough?
Aiden: {As if I should have already known} I have a key in my leg. And when the baby is ready, I will use the key on my belly button and let him out.
I need a camcorder at my side. Constantly. Gotta love those imaginations.
Me: {mumbles}Wish it were that easy, kid
