There's a Baby in My Tummy!
Aiden: {matter of factly} I have a baby in my tummy.
Me: {highly amused} Oh?
Aiden: Yes. It's a boy baby.
Me: Oh. How neat. Are you sure its a boy?
Aiden: Yes. Mine is a boy and yours is a girl. And it's getting bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger. {Lifting up shirt and pointing to his belly} It's right here.
Me: Wow, Aiden.
Aiden: And he has a blanket and a lovie and his doggy {these are all of Aiden's night time essentials} and a bed, and that's all.
Me: {stifling laughter} That's a lot of stuff for your belly.
Aiden: Yes. So baby can sleep. It keeps him warm.
Me: {now highly curious at Aiden's theory} How do you think your baby will get out when he is big enough?
Aiden: {As if I should have already known} I have a key in my leg. And when the baby is ready, I will use the key on my belly button and let him out.
I need a camcorder at my side. Constantly. Gotta love those imaginations.
Me: {mumbles}Wish it were that easy, kid

That is just so cute! I love hearing kids explain things.
Man, I have been behind...Aiden is too cute!! I wasn't going to share my names but then I decided that I really don't care and there is something about being pregnant for the THIRD time that makes me throw everything out from before and do whatever I want! I am sure your name will be adorable =).
How cute is that?! Sweet boy.
I'm glad mine are not the only kids who say that! When my sister got pregnant, that's all they would say. "I have a baby in my tummy!". It was really kinda freaky to me the first time. And I said "NO. YOU. DON'T." But then I realized that it is really nothing to get freaked out about. :) Silly Mommy! I'm glad you're all doing good!
This is hilarious!! He really is a funny kid. And I wonder where he gets his imagination from...hmmm... :-)
That is so funny. Too bad it isn't that easy!
So funny! What is it about the belly button - William will still tell you that's where baby Andrew came out of my belly.
