Quotables Via Aiden

1.

Aiden: Mommy, I don't feel good.

Me: Where do you feel bad, sweetie?

Aiden: In my house.

2.

{I took Aiden on our first "date" to the movies yesterday-"Hotel for Dogs" is a great kids flick, btw. I must be super hormonal because I was totally tearing up despite the cheesiness oozing from the screen in the end}

Our scene unfolds with Aiden and myself pulling up to the theatre in our car.

Aiden: {looking at the building} Mommy, is this a date?

Me: Yes, baby, this is a date.

Aiden: {Eyes widening, pointing at the building} This is a big date!

3.

{Extremely large woman walks by, donning some super tight pants. Preface: I never point out physical differences to my son. But I notice him watching, so I decided to comment on her hair.}

Me: She has really long hair, doesn't she, Aiden?

Aiden: Yes. And a fat booty, too! {WHAT???}

Me: {outright laughter mixed with tears...not too beneficial for the teaching factor of keeping our thoughts to ourselves.}

Aiden: Mommy?

Me: Yes?

Aiden: You have a skinny booty.

----OH from the mouths of BABES!---

Speaking of skinny: not for long. I am officially a walking stereotype as I just sent Jamin out of the house at 9.30 p.m. to retrieve a fabulous cellulite promising assortment of Swiss Cake Rolls and Twinkies. Yeah...when those cream fillings call, they really do tend to beckon.

I teared up too at that movie! It has to be the hormones! I love all the quotes. I have started a word document with "Jacksonisms" b/c I want some record of these amazing things that come out of their mouths. Take care.

My daughter & I went to see Hotel for Dogs a few weekends ago while little brother was at Maw-Maws for the weekend. She loved it! I thought she was going to sleep there at the end, but she just climbed in my lap and watched every minute of it. It was great! One on one time is so fun & needed!

Love the "fat booty" comment! I think we had a similar one but I ignored it because my daughter was talking to a friend of ours at her house. I'm not sure, but I think she told her she was fat. I wasn't sure so I didn't comment. If she did, I have to hand it to my friend, she handled it well. :)

I don't ever say fat around my kids, number one because I don't want them to call me that. I'm sure they pick it up from school. Oh well.

I've been trying to get my husband to go on a date to see "Hotel for Dogs" with me. I'll have to tell him what a fun date it was for y'all. ;)
