Happy Thoughts and Pixie Dust

Introducing...

Peter Pan and Tinkerbell!!!

I made my own version (anti Disney) of the beloved Children's classic costumes this year. I've never tried before but had, well, way too much fun. The kids loved them! Though the costumes were my anti-mickey version, we still love the classic animation via Walter himself, so all week I've been prepping Aiden, with his pixie dust, singing the song and gliding through the house on imaginary wings. He needs to be ready for his part.

"This is the stuff dreams are built on...no reason to take it lightly," I said to Jamin when I caught him smirking at me from the kitchen as we paraded screaming the lyrics "You can fly! You can fly You can FLLLLLLYYYYYYY!!!!" through the den. I mean, one day, when Aiden is a famous architect, and they are interviewing him for building the world's most fabulous building with innovative self cleaning windows, he can look back and say, My mom inspired me through her blanket stitched costume she spent way too much time on, all so I could look cool for Halloween! Yes, that is my life's mission.

We had our fall festival this afternoon and the sun was a nightmare. Mood killer for portraits. Maybe I'll snag some better ones later. In the meantime, I think you get the point.

Sugar High!

My constant fearless one!

The kids had a wonderful time!

wow!! Judy told me the kids were absolutely precious and she wasn't kidding! This totally puts Em's Wal-mart Elmo costume complete with red turtleneck and tights to shame:):)

Thanks for asking her about Timothy too...very thoughtful and sweet. Glad you guys are done with the Mill's Hizzy Pukefest 2008!:)

Let's hope it doesn't happen again on Halloween!

I thought the costumes were great! I always love matching siblings. So far Jack and Riley have been a bumblebee and a flower and then this year they're a dragon and a princess. I love Tinker Bell and Peter Pan though. Very creative!

I know I'm biased but I think they are the cutest Tink and Peter ever! Not to mention they have the coolest handmade costumes around.

10.29.2008 | Unregistered CommenterJamin

Hahaha! Kara-I totally almost did bumble bee and flower this year! thats hilarious. Jamin wouldn't let me. he said it was sexual. or at least that perverted child molesters would think so. okay. whatever. I think thats the cutest.

Jamin-apart from your costume restrictions-major brownie points, mister.
